With all the rain we’ve experienced lately and the tropical storm that passed thru recently, our water has turned very dark. The fish are still here but it makes sight casting with a fly rod very difficult. So we burned a few extra gallons of fuel and ran north and found some beautiful water so we could do what we like to do and that’s sight cast to fish with a fly rod. Granted there are numerous other techniques that routinely produce more fish but sometimes you just have to do it the hard way.
Although we may have only managed to boat a few fly caught fish, we saw many. Remember, we were hunting with a bow and not a long range rifle.
